Hi semua… lama inda updatekan! Actually, the month of March was a bit busy for me with lots of activities that I had to give my 100% commitment. (tapi sebelum itu, jgn kamurang katawa baca speaking London sia ni kio! Salah2 nda kisah asalkan kamurang paham! Ekekek) I’m not only attending meetings and seminar held by the department I work with but I also participated in two big event held by RTM Sabah . 14 of March 2009, I participated the final of Anugerah Juara Lagu Dusun / Lagu-Lagu Popular Dusun 2008 by SabahVFM held in Ranau town and the other one was the final of Anugerah Juara Carta Artis Tempatan Sabah (CATS) 2009 by SabahFM, held at One Borneo dated 28th March 2009. Even though it was tiring but at the same time I had an unforgettable experienced and beautiful memory that I will kept for the rest of my life. Being able to be the finalist in two big singing competition in Sabah state held by RTM (SabahFM & SabahVFM) was a dream come true and the experienced that I gained from participating such events was amazing!! Not only as a finalist but being able to deliver my very own song in the competition was what I am most proud of! (alamak!..mcm angkat bakul sendiri plak kan! Hahaha!)
Well… even though the result was……hemmm…. (frust jugalah…), coz I didn’t win any, hahaha! But the most important thing is to be able to be the finalist and show my talent not only in singing but as a composer too.
Looking back at my performances in both competitions, I can say that, for Juara Lagu Dusun in Ranau I had performed to my very best and I believed that the audiences love it! and the sound system was good, tapi tiada rezeki untuk menang, apa boleh buat! For the CATS competition held in 1Borneo, I was a bit disappointed with the sound system, most of the audiences responded that they cannot hear my vocal clearly, even my backing vocal pun teda kedengaran suara mereka. Hahaha! kasian kamiurang! But of coz, the differences in terms of sound quality between singing in a hall and singing in shopping complex is huge! Usually, shopping complex is not a good place for singing competition. Problems for the sound engineers to control the audio system always occured. So generally it affects the judging point and to be honest, I blamed myself also, I was so disappointed of myself, I was out of tune when singing the high notes! it sounded flat here and there and worrying too much of forgetting the words. Maybe the pressure from singing for competition is greater than singing just for performance and entertainment. (Sudah menyanyi bertahun2 pun masih nervous!! hahaha!) I can give thousands of reason, but still, orang bilang, kalau tiada rezeki, tiada la ba tu! kuroyon podi la kan! Hahaha! but as a whole, I’m still happy, coz for CATS final, the finalist were also given a trophy as “Saguhati”, Cash money RM500, Hand phone and goodies from Indocafe and Vico and also a certificate from RTM. So ada jugalah trofi untuk dijadikan kenang-kenangan! Lambang RTM yang mahal tu! Hahaha!
